The Women’s Endowment Fund is a designated fund providing permanent resources to fund programs meaningful to women in the Jewish Community. Through the generous support of over 200 donors, the assets of the fund have grown to over $300,000, the interest income of which is directed to support programs and projects in the community. The WEF enables Jewish women to connect with other women through the funding of projects that directly benefit or are of great importance to women in the Jewish community.
The Foundation is extremely pleased to partner with the Karen & Gary Simkin Family Child Development Centre at the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver to provide subsidies for preschool and child care options for women and families in financial need. This three year commitment is an historic initiative and the Foundation is proud to provide substantive support for an essential service in Vancouver’s Jewish community.
The WEF is the ideal way for anyone to honour the special women in their lives; gifts to the Fund will enhance the quality of women’s lives in our community by supporting options for women and families who cannot otherwise afford child care, enabling women to return to the workforce or to pursue higher education.
Tribute cards, specifically designed for the WEF may also be purchased with proceeds directed to the Women's Endowment Fund. Minimum donation is $18. Your tribute to one woman will touch the lives of many others. All donations to the WEF are tax deductible.
